Last year, I took a chance on a new-to-me author, Lily Blackwood.  And I devoured The Beast of Clan Kincaid one Sunday afternoon (my review).  The second book in the series, The Rebel of Clan Kincaid, is now available for preorder and will release on December 6th.

SMP Romance Holiday Blitz!

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to watch movies.  We have to watch some kid friendly ones, but when I have a moment to myself, I turn on The Holiday.  It's one of my favorites!

Laura Trentham loves Elf.  "It's hilarious and heartwarming. But the season can't pass with at least one family viewing of Christmas Vacation. Cousin Eddie is the best! Sometimes I'm in the mood for a classic like Miracle on 34th Street (with Maureen O'Hara, of course!) or It's a Wonderful Life."

A Christmas Story is one of Tara Wyatt's favorite holiday movies.  "I'd never seen it growing up, and the first Christmas we were dating, my now husband introduced me to it. It had always been one of his favorites, and he was excited to watch it with me. We have a tradition of watching it together at least once in the days leading up to Christmas now."

Review: Till I Kissed You by Laura Trentham

It’s summertime in Cottonbloom, where two lovers find themselves at a crossroads just as things start to heat up. . . 

Regan Lovell grew up on the wealthy Mississippi side of Cottonbloom—and now, as mayor, she’s determined to save it from the fate of so many small towns. Part of her plan to help the local economy is the Labor Day tomato festival. If only she wasn’t being undermined by Sawyer Fournette, who’s planning a crayfish-themed celebration on the Louisiana side of the river on the very same weekend. The pranks and sabotage are getting out of hand, and she’s had it with him—no matter how much she enjoyed those stolen hours in his truck bed, so many years ago…

Sawyer knows that Regan's never forgiven him for breaking her heart—but despite his reputation as a low-class swamp rat, he’d never hurt the woman who still secretly drives him crazy with desire. Someone in Cottonbloom has it out for her, though, and Sawyer intends to watch her back…and the rest of her too, if she can ever let go of her distrust. But will a common enemy be enough to unite them—and finally fulfill the promises they made one passionate night under the stars?

Regan and Sawyer have been secondary characters throughout the Cottonbloom series.  They've also been at odds with each other. 

Regan is the mayor of Cottonbloom, Mississippi, and Sawyer is the parish manager for Cottonbloom, Louisiana.  Both want their respective festivals to succeed.  Unfortunately, a series of pranks threaten the festivals, and then actual threats come against Regan. 

We learn more about what led to the original break-up of Regan and Sawyer, which I thought was a little underwhelming.  There are class differences and prejudices throughout the series, so I'm not sure why I was surprised Regan's upbringing came into play.  Once they give in to their feelings, however, nothing can keep Regan and Sawyer apart.  Ms. Trentham excels at sexual tension and heat between characters. 

I really enjoyed this entire series and am a little sad to leave both Cottonblooms.
