Review: Slow Ride by Erin McCarthy

As a tribute to her late journalist father, Tuesday Jones is planning a career benefit, auctioning off racing memorabilia and meet-and-greets with drivers.

Ex-racing star Diesel Lange has had his own brush with death, and is determined not to waste another minute of his life- especially when he meets Tuesday. He wants nothing more than to shift their romance into high gear, but he knows she's still grieving. Can Diesel do the one thing he could never do on the track and take it slow?

Spoilers below.  This is my least favorite Fast Track book.

I thought Tuesday and Diesel rushed into a marriage. Just because I read romance doesn't mean I need every hero and heroine to tie the knot at the end of their book. Both Tuesday and Diesel have issues to overcome, and I would have liked to have seen them agree to continue dating while Tuesday goes to AA and grief counseling.

And a minor subplot issue:
Details about Evan Monroe's child with Sara, which are revealed in book 4, The Chase, are completely flipped in this book, so I search Goodreads and find a novella featuring Sara in an anthology where it's discovered that Evan isn't the father at all! This anthology is NOT featured on the Fast Track series page of Ms. McCarthy's website.
